Sometimes, when you get out of the way of doing things, when life takes over and leaves you hung out to dry, it’s difficult to find your momentum again.
For some reason, I have many and I’m not getting into my ‘excuses’ here and now, I haven’t written a miview for some while and I’ve found it really difficult to get going again.
I wrote a couple of first drafts, and binned them. I then wrote another couple …well you get the picture. The words half and hearted immediately spring to mind.
Even though I was inspired by a couple of articles I read, I was finding it difficult to put pen to paper in a meaningful way. It was strange but my first thought was ‘would it matter if I missed one?’ But then one became some….
Then I was on the receiving end of a couple of comments in passing conversation:
“I haven’t had a miview from you in a wee while?”
“I thought you weren’t talking to me anymore?”
And this last one was a killer –
“You do realise you are letting your people down by not writing to them”
Yikes……
The last thing I want to do is let anyone down. So these comments certainly made me sit up and take notice and even more importantly moved me to take action!!
So here’s a question for you:
What are you notdoing for your customers, your clients, and your people that you know you should be doing?
It’s a scary thought but we are heading towards a new year and I have just counted only 48 working days left until 2014!
With this in mind, we still have time to refocus and align you and your business to achieve your goals.
